On Flight Essentialsall
Hi Lovelies! Greetings from Hong Kong! Yes – I’m back to homeland for 2 weeks!
If you have read the post for my Very Inspiring Blogger Award, you might know that I’m born and bred in Hong Kong. Having lived in England for the past 7 years, naturally, I’m a frequent flyer. There is nothing worse than the excruciating discomfort of a long-haul fight (12 hours from London to HK) #firstworldproblems. The air inside the cabin is so dry that I used to sprout new spots every time I fly.
Gielly Green Classic Shampoo and Conditioner (50ml)
Overall Performance: 7/10
Price: £5 each for 50ml; £16 for 200ml
A while back, I purchased the LoveLula Hair Rehab Selection, and with it came two classic shampoo and conditioner minis from Gielly Green.
Fred Gielly and Shai Greenberg are the men behind the brand, which started off as a boutique hair salon in London Marlebone. Gielly Green products promises no parabens, SLS, or synthetic fragrances. All natural ingredients used, such as minerals and oils, are processed naturally and manufactured in the UK.
March Favourites 2014
Hello Lovelies, welcome to my first ever monthly favourites post! This month I have stumbled upon quite a few little gems that have really stood out to me. Some of which you might already be familiar with, and some I’ve only started using recently (future review candidates? Maybe). Let’s begin!
Dr Alkaitis Organic Replenishing Serum
Overall Performance: 9.5/10 (scored as a toner)
The Organic Replenishing Serum (or the Organic Herbal Toner in the US) is the first product I have tried from the Dr. Alkaitis range, and it certainly won’t be the last. Formulated as “raw health foods” for the skin, Dr. Alkaitis skincare products are 100% biologically active. This means that if you neglect your Dr. Alkaitis products for more than 12 months, it could potentially sprout legs and run away from home.
Just kidding. You are, however, advised to finish off a product within a year due to the living ingredients. I like to think of this as the raw food diet for your skin. Intrigued? Then read on!
Hi Lovelies, I’m very excited to tell you all that I have been nominated for another award! This time, it’s the Very Inspiring Blogger Award! I want to thank Amber from Amber’s Beauty Talk for the nomination. If you have time, do check out her amazing blog too! I’m a frequent reader of hers. 🙂
As a new blogger, you might not know much about me yet. This post will be such a great opportunity to have a little heart-to-heart with you guys! Let’s begin!
Kjaer Weis Essential Trio 2 in box
Overall Performance: 9/10
Developed by New York makeup sensation, Kirsten Kjaer Weis, through 8 years of extensive research, Kjaer Weis is a luxurious green beauty brand like no other. Her products are eco-friendly, organic and high performance. I have been coveting the KW range for quite some time now, and have finally decided to acquire the Trio Set as I am
indecisive keen to try out all of her products!
I have worn the three products altogether for several nights out, and I’m glad to say that the Kjaer Weis range truly lived up to its name. I now am a very happy bunny with three new staples in my makeup bag!
Overall Performance: 5.5/10
Price: £125 for the Mia 2; £155 for the new Aria
I’m sure by now, everyone remotely interested in the beauty industry would have heard of the Clarisonic. Since the new Clarisonic Aria has just launched into the market, I felt that it is timely to write this post. From the low ratings above, I’m sure you can tell that the Clarisonic and I do not get on well.
The sad truth is – the Clarisonic is just way too harsh for my skin, especially for everyday use.
So… I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award – yes, me! I’m over the moon. A big thanks to both Nic from OrgaNic Obsessions and Ellie from The Leo Beauty for nominating me. I’m so honoured to receive an award, and so excited to connect with other bloggers out there! Special hugs to Nic who have gone out of her way to make me feel welcomed in the green beauty community – thank you girly 🙂
Salmon and Veg Stew
This salmon recipe is one of those food that you might eat on a cozy night in. It’s super nutritious, and quick and easy to put together. Most importantly, it also tastes delicious!
Because the recipe is so versatile, it is great for using up any expiring vegetables in the fridge. I make this all the time – and I’m certain you will too after trying it for the first time round. Lets get started!
